1.1 Scope
This Particular Standard applies to LASER EQUIPMENT FOR MEDICAL APPLICATION, as defined in Clause 2.1.112, classified as CLASS 3B or CLASS 4 LASER PRODUCT according to Clauses 3.12 and 3.13 in IEC 825, hereinafter referred to as EQUIPMENT, designed to be installed and used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
Note: LASER EQUIPMENT for medical application classified as CLASS 1, 2, OR CLASS 3A LASER PRODUCT, is covered by CAN/CSA- C22.2 No. 601.1, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 601.1S1, and IEC 825.
