This Standard is applicable to the measuring methods of surface insulation resistance of electrical steel strip and sheet.

This test method is applicable to electrical steel strip and sheet insulated on one or both surfaces, and is suitable for manufacturing control in the application of insulation coatings.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

lEC 60404-11 : 1999 Magnetic materials — Part 11 : Method of test for the determination of surface insulation resistance of magnetic sheet and strip (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21 -1.
