It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods to which it refers.<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO 16486 series<\/span><\/span> is applicable to PA-U piping systems the components of which are connected by fusion jointing and\/or mechanical jointing.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it lays down dimensional characteristics and requirements for the marking of pipes.<\/p>\n<p>Pipes conforming to this part of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;16486<\/span><\/span> are jointed typically by using mechanical, electrofusion or butt fusion (see <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>) techniques, but not by solvent cement jointing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS EN ISO 16486-2.
