It supersedes the previous edition published in 2008 as CAN\/CSA-Z5356-1 (adopted ISO 5356-1:2004, with Canadian deviations).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO 5356 specifies dimensional and gauging requirements for cones and sockets intended for connecting anaesthetic and respiratory equipment, e.g. in breathing systems, anaesthetic gas scavenging systems, and vaporizers.
