L'ISO 13318-3:2004 sp\u00e9cifie une m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9termination de la distribution granulom\u00e9trique de mat\u00e9riaux particulaires homog\u00e8nes par s\u00e9dimentation centrifuge dans un liquide. Les concentrations de solides sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9es par l'att\u00e9nuation d'un faisceau de rayons X. Le signal obtenu permet de convertir les r\u00e9sultats en distribution granulom\u00e9trique.<\/p>\n

La methode de d\u00e9termination de la distribution granulom\u00e9trique est applicable aux poudres qui peuvent \u00eatre dispers\u00e9es dans des liquides ou aux poudres sous forme de boues. L'\u00e9tendue granulom\u00e9trique courante, utilis\u00e9e pour l'analyse, est comprise entre 0,1 microm\u00e8tres et 5 microm\u00e8tres. La m\u00e9thode concerne les poudres dont toutes les particules ont la m\u00eame masse volumique, la m\u00eame composition chimique et des formes comparables. Les mat\u00e9riaux contenant des constituants dont le nombre atomique est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 environ 12 produisent g\u00e9neralement une opacit\u00e9 ad\u00e9quate aux rayons X. Les particules ne doivent pas subir pas de variation chimique ou physique dans le liquide de suspension.
