1.1<\/b> This International Standard<\/b> establishes requirements<\/b> for certifying an assessment that an Ada language processor conforms<\/b> to the requirements<\/b> of the Ada language standard<\/b>, ISO\/IEC 8652. It places requirements<\/b> on the organization<\/b> that performs the assessment, the assessment procedures, and the test suite<\/b> used in the assessment. Finally, it places requirements<\/b> on the form for the certificate of conformity<\/b>.<\/p>\n
1.2<\/b> This International Standard<\/b> concerns only the assessment of conformity<\/b> to the language requirements<\/b> of ISO\/IEC 8652. It does not concern the assessment of any other characteristics of a language processor<\/b> or of the construction process used by the manufacturer<\/b> of the language processor<\/b>.<\/p>\n NOTE In the sense of [ISO\/IEC Guide 23], the Ada language standard<\/b>, ISO\/IEC 8652, is to be regarded as a standard for a specific property<\/i> rather than a comprehensive product standard<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n 1.3<\/b> This International Standard<\/b> is intended to be primarily suitable for use by a third party authority<\/b> although portions of it may also be applied by a supplier (first party) or by a user or purchaser (second party).<\/p>\n 1.4<\/b> An Ada language processor<\/b> may be claimed to conform<\/b> to the requirements<\/b> of ISO\/IEC 8652 regardless of the application of this International Standard<\/b>. This International Standard<\/b> prescribes the method for obtaining a certification<\/b> that an Ada language processor conforms<\/b> to ISO\/IEC 8652. Customers desiring to acquire a language processor<\/b> certified as conforming<\/b> should explicitly require that certification<\/b> by citing this International Standard<\/b>.<\/p>\n 1.5<\/b> Certification should not be construed as guaranteeing that the certified product is free of non-conformities<\/b> or defects; it only certifies that no evidence of non-conformity<\/b> was found during the certification<\/b> process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Information technology.
