{"id":601453,"date":"2024-11-05T22:10:21","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T22:10:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/iso-187542020\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T22:10:21","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T22:10:21","slug":"iso-187542020","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/iso\/iso-187542020\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO 18754:2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies methods for the determination of the apparent solid density, bulk density, apparent porosity and geometric bulk density of fine ceramics, including all ceramic matrix composites.<\/p>\n<p>Two methods are described and are designated as Methods A and B, as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u2014     Method A: Determination of bulk density, apparent solid density and apparent porosity by liquid displacement (Archimedes&#039; method).<\/p>\n<p>NOTE 1  This method is not appropriate for the determination of an apparent porosity greater than 10 %. For materials with higher porosity, the accuracy of the measurement might not be satisfactory.
